Ultimate Case IH power | New Optum 300 CVX & Steiger 400 | 700 HP! | Tillage 2016

Sadly it was a very windy day but it was still a very impressive sight to see these two Case IH stable mates from Dutch contractor & contract farmer H. van Oosten Meeden. This field of wheat stubble is first disc harrowed using a brand new Case IH Optum 300 CVX and He-Va Disc Roller 6m wide disc harrow. It is then subsoiled by the Case IH Steiger 400 and a He-Va Sub Tiller subsoiler, which is also 6 metres in working width. The field will be left and then drilled with wheat again by a power harrow & drill combination.

Both He-Va implements are new this year. The Optum is a demo machine from dealer Oosterhof as the company was awaiting delivery of their own Optum. The Steiger has already been in use for some years. It can be seen injecting slurry last spring in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2JNfSN0jG8
